Yaakov Shapiro grew up in Conservative, Modern Orthodox, Lithuanian-Charedi and Chabad�-Chasidic Jewish schools, earning rabbinical ordination in the latter. This book is a fantastic resource for laymen and rabbis alike. It explains in simple terms what the halachic great and rabbis of old said about sex.
If your chosson or kallah teacher taught you that you are limited in what you can and can't do, you should get this book so you will know what the real story is, and make a more informed decision.

As a therapist, I find this book a breath of fresh air in a topic filled with ambiguity. This book is one of clarity and sources, not opinions. If someone is looking to delve deeper into the topic of Judaism’s’ outlook on intimacy, this is the book.
