THIS BOOK STARTED ME ON THE ROAD.

I was housesitting a friends place in 1978 when I came across this book. Even though I hadnt lost anyone close to me - I found it a revelation. Since then I have lost a son, my Grandmother and Grandfather, a very close friend and an Uncle. This book inspired a life passion as I have read hundreds of books regarding re-incarnation, the cosmos, angels, life on other planets etc. But this story and title has remained in my memory forever. I intend searching for it until I find a copy - to read it again, 21 years later. So much has changed. It will be an even better read now that all this time has passed, and Ive experienced more of life. In 1978 A Souls Journey introduced me to a topic that has become a major source of interest for me; for that I am eternally grateful.

Divine guidance in a book

How I came about this book will tell you much about the truth of its teachings. My physical body died on May 15th, 1991 while I was in the hospital. I had never given much thought to the possibility of life after death before this. Everything about shedding my physical body and journeying to this non-physical realm was new to me. What happened next was extraordinary! Meeting a Being of Light, regaining the memories of who I truly am, of who I was prior to coming to mortality, being given a choice to remain or to go back to mortality, the revelation that I had come to earth to accomplish a mission, etc. Much can be said about this amazing journey but this is not the place to do so.

Little did I know that my Near-Death-Experience (NDE) had opened a door to the other side. Things started hapening that I did not expect. I started seeing energy, having visions and even hearing a voice. At first, these things frightened me and I tried to repress them. As time went by, I became more confortable and started allowing these things to happen. (I found out much later that an NDE will sometimes bring on abilities such as clairvoyance and clairaudience)

The "Voice" as I call it, does not come often but when it does I listen, for it always guides me in the right direction. One such instance took place a few years ago. I had just purchased several books and had left the bookstore when the "Voice" came. It directed me to go back to the bookstore and guided me towards this book, A Soul's Journey. I purchased the book and I was reading it on the plane back home the following day. The "Voice" came again and said: "a sister will sit next to you". I was so absorbed by the book that I did not pay attention to the young woman who sat next to me. She initiated the conversation by asking what book I was reading and what it was all about. I told her about the teachings in the book which lead me to also tell her about my NDE. She started crying, telling me she had been praying for over a year asking for a sign that there is life after death. And here we were... this book and I on her path. I never saw her again. But I trust that my story and the teachings in this book came when she needed them.

This is an extraordinary book! Not only is there life after death but there is purpose to your life. You are the physical extension of your divine self. Reading this book will help you understand the journey you are on.

Condensed Truth Packed In A Small Book

This book is THE one book I recommend to all my friends and family. There is so much truth, on numerous subjects, revealed in these pages. Some people have searched their whole lives to discover only a fraction of what can be found here. I'm talking about the author's ability to beautifully describe the indescibable. It's a wonderful story on ALL levels.
It works as a love story, as a guide to the higher planes and as a texbook on reincarnation. One cannot help but be moved and uplifted by the author's experiences.
I have given this book to two people who had terminal cancer. They both said that reading it was the best gift they could have ever received. It gave them a comfort and an acceptance of what was to come that they did not have before. It is a wonderful book for anyone who has ever lost a loved one. It is a book that will satisfy one's own soul about that great unknown....death and the afterlife.

some problems

This book often does not follow Swift standard practices. For example, it sometimes starts a file name with an underscore ( _ ). Rather than title a title label titleLabel, it uses myLabel. Elsewhere it uses myBtn. It puts comments after (below) a line of code, rather than before or to the right of the code. As I write this, the code and resource files for the projects are at the publisher website as .zip.html files. Whatever that is, it opens as gibberish. Strip off the .html to make it a regular zip file and it will open. I notified the publisher of this problem. Earlier, I tweeted the author asking where the resource files were; he didn't respond. Finally, and fatally, the code is broken. I downloaded the code for Chapter 4 and it would not build due to errors. Some of these are simply because the book's version of Swift is out of date. I'm running the latest released version on my computer, not a beta.
Update: the author has now responded with an offer to help.

Great Book From a Beginner Point of View

I'm self-taught when it comes to mobile application programming, which I've learned from books like this one. Having knowledge a little above beginner in Objective-C, I wanted to check out what Swift has to offer. This is a great book to get started in Swift and I could pretty easily grasp all of the material covered. I'm not sure how useful it will be for a seasoned professional, but as someone who wanted to learn more about Swift, I thought it was very helpful.

Kent Harries is an Associate Professor of Structural Engineering and Mechanics at the University of Pittsburgh, USA. His research focuses on fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) materials and - over the last five years - full-culm bamboo and the characterization of bamboo materials. He the author of over 220 peer-reviewed technical articles, and is Editor of the Journal of Construction and Building Materials and FRP International. He is an Associate Editor of the ASCE Journal of Bridge Engineering.

Bhavna Sharma is a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Architecture at the University of Cambridge, UK. Her research focuses on the use of natural fibre-reinforced composites and the properties of full-culm and engineered bamboo as an alternative construction material.
